So the standard SYN, SYNACK, ACK handshake can be applied to hugs, particularly in text, particularly among certain tech folks (mapping roughly to "Is a hug okay?", "Yes, here's a hug", "Okay, a hug it is"). This isn't new.
But I just realized that HUGSYN can also be read as "HUGS? Y/N", and I think that's pretty neat.
