This is "A Talk with George", a song by Jonathan Coulton. It's a good song, but I figured I'd turn it into a bit of a bedtime story and spread it across the nights.
I don't even necessarily agree with the ending, but I like it nonetheless, as an inspirational thing.

And so ends the song. I don't actually agree with the last stanza – it's entirely possible you're doing exactly what you need to. But overall it's sort of an inspiring song: there's a person who actually did all of these things, because they were there to be done.
