Relays Okay!

Anyone happen to know what sort of prep one would need to drill a hole in kevlar/carbon composites? I have a fairing I'll probably have to do some reconstruction work on and I'll probably need a new mounting hole

@IrisKalmia Honestly I don't think I've ever done anything special. Standard drill bit, go slow. You can cut down on burrs a bit with tape (as you would with anything else), but there do exist special drill bits for that as well if you're doing a lot of it or care a lot about it for some reason.

@aschmitz Thanks! I saw thats how it was for just carbon but also saw that kevlar needed special care in some cases.

@IrisKalmia Mostly you want to avoid pulling on the fibers, but if you just go slow, your drill tip should cut them off for you. (That is one of the advantages of the weird inverted drill bits that also cut down on burrs.)
